Finding people

  Hi I’m new to blogging but used to Twitter , Facebook and You Tube. I’m looking to follow bloggers I like but once I find someone, having difficulty finding them again. I put their user name in the search box and click search site but not getting anywhere. Plus I’m having the same issues finding subjects I’d like to read about, eg I’m interested in following peoples weight loss journey, but I’ll search weight loss and variations on this and still can’t find it.
  can anyone help?

  Hi. If you are referring to the WordPress.com search box, please note it only indexes posts, pages and comments, not usernames or site titles:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpresscom-search/#missing-posts

  To find blogs dealing with topics similar to yours, try using the tags:
  http://en.wordpress.com/tags/

  Personally, I think the easiest way to follow blogs I find and I like are to add them to my favorites.

  If you are wanting to follow WordPress.COM blogs – when you are logged in there is a gray bar at the tip of the page – click on the “Subscribe” and that will put the blog on your subscriptions list – then you can look at the headlines on your subscriptions by “Read my Subscriptions” under “My Accounts” – you can also put the URL in the “Readomatic” section and you can see the latest Posts for a blog from your main Dashboard section Dashboard >> Readomatic (this is where I put some sites that I follow regularly)
