Finding the best solution for using my domain name.

I’m running into a few problems setting up my domain name to work with the wordpress site and was hoping someone could help me out.

    1. I run a business in which prompt responses to emails are important. Is there a way to set up the site without significant downtime on emails? Perhaps if I follow the steps in a particular order, for example.

    2. I host a couple files on my current site (http://www.questhapkido.com) that I cannot host to the best of my knowledge on the wordpress site. For example, I have a couple iframe pages that will not function without iframes that I was hoping to just link to from the wordpress site since it does not support iframes. Since, in order to use wordpress.com, I have to point the DNS to wordpress’s servers, am I correct in assuming that I will have to use a different domain name to access those files, or is there a way to access them and the wordpress site from the same domain name?

    3. Or, would using a wordpress.org site be a better fit? I initially tried using wordpress.org, but found it to be significantly more glitchy and problematic, not to mention horribly difficult to set up correctly. Things that took me 15 minutes in wordpress.com were taking me 3+ hours in the .org. For example, in the theme I’m using (itheme2), the .org version places the search feature in the toolbar, which takes up space, but causes significant problems in that the links at the top bar don’t loop around to a second column in the .org version as it does in the .com version, which significantly limits my ability to grow my site. Even the simplest tasks such as sticking links on the site’s sidebar required custom tools. I’ve also run into problems like the facebook box not scaling to the correct size. I’d be willing to pay the transfer fee, but I’m not convinced that it would solve the numerous problems I’ve run into.

Any thoughts or advice on what might be the best solution to these issues?
