Finding the identity of a blog owner

Hello,
I’m victim of difamatory on a blog wich is on wordpress.com plateform.
So there is no domain name and no whois to check the identity of the owner of the blog.
I did the “report this content” to alert wordpress.com but I also took a lawyer to take this man to court.
So my question is : “How do I know who is the owner of a blog ?”
Do my lawyer have to contact wordpress.com to know the name of the person owning the wordpress account ?

I already done the abuse process for four posts of this person.
I hope WordPress.com will do something quickly.
In France there are laws concerning the identity of someone owning a blog or website. A blog or website cannot be anonymous. But if someone registers on wordpress with a false name and a gmail corresponding, yes WordPress can close this account if it is noticed that the content is not appropriate but there seems to be no ways to take the author to court… or maybe by having the IP of the person owning the account…
