Finding the profile of a blog owner

    Newb question: I’m interested in finding the profile of the authors of a blog, but they’re not using the author widget. Does that mean they’re just keeping it private or I’m just not looking in the right place.

    Blog in question is bcsincontext.wordpress.com

    There is no means of searching profiles here at WordPress.com. Those who have WordPress.com/Gravatar accounts have Gravatar profile pages and it’s up to each whether or not they complete them.
    example: http://en.gravatar.com/robfagen

    To complete yours go to > Dashboard > Users > My Profile
    scroll down to “About me”

    In reference to those themes that do display author bylines (some do not) there must be at least two authors who have both published a post in the blog for the author bylines to display. Data for the author profiles displayed below each and every post is pulled from here > Users > My Profile > About me and displayed on the Gravatar profile page, as well as, on the very few themes we have that do display author profiles. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/
