FInding the right tag(s)

Hi there,
Trying to find more like-minded bloggers for a Blogger Action Day but the offerings under, for example, the tag Organic Gardening seem so small that I feel I must be missing whole groups of folks because I don’t know the magic words. ;) Here’s more on the project:
Any advice/input you have on solving the mysteries of tag names will be gratefully received! Thanks so much!!!

Hey there, Lori!
Glad you asked about Tags…using the right ones are important.
My suggestion is to make sure they’re specific. Terms like, “International Year of Soils,” “Blogger Action Day,” and “Palm Rae Urban Potager,” will be more valuable to you than general terms such as “blogging,” “WordPress,” or “writing.” Think about terms that readers might search on Google. If you use terms that aren’t very specific your site will be very difficult to find among all the other blogs using the same general tags.
Your name, the blog post title, and the name of your site do not need to be tags, as they’re already included in the data we send out about your blog.
Oh, and finally, I think that Organic Gardening is a good tag! If you can get even more specific, that’s great…but OG is a strong one!
For more information about tags, I think this article might be helpful:

Hi again Robyn (you’ve helped me before!)
Excellent suggestions! I’ve been thinking in terms of broader audience but, in fact, narrow-casting may make more sense, yes. Will noodle over it further. Wish us luck!
Best,

Hey Lori!
Glad to help!
I’m sending you tons of good vibes!
Also, “Will noodle over it further,” might be my new favorite term :)
Take care!
