finding/changing users
-
Hello, I have invited all my students to contribute to the blog as “authors.” I now realize they must be upgraded in status to “Editor.” However, some students have accepted the invitation and do not show up at all in the users list. The confirming email says that they’ll be following the blog. How do I get them from follower to editor?
Thanks.
Jerry

Staff will need to help you and cannot so so until you provided the usernames of those who are not showing up on the Users list. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Please forgive me if my questions sound inane — I am new to wordpress. Would an email address suffice in place of a username? And, how do I subscribe to the thread, as you’ve suggested?

Hi there!
I took a look at your invitations, and it appears that you may have inadvertently invited a couple of your students as followers. If you’d like, I can promote them as editors for you. Let me know how you wish to move forward. Thank you!

Hello again,
I went ahead and added “missmatt613” as an Editor. However, the user with the email beginning with “jblite3” doesn’t appear to be a current WordPress.com user. Can you kindly ask him to register an account so I can add him? Thank you!
