Firearms/Hunting Store looking to set up website

    Hello, I’m trying to figure out if I’d be allowed to host a blog through wordpress or if it’d get banned. We are a firearms/Hunting Store in Ontario, Canada. I am not in need of the commerce side right now as we already have a website for that, but we don’t have a proper blog on that system and we really need to have one. Is there any way to host a blog through WordPress or at least use the blogging system/plugins. I’m confused by the guidelines because it says you can’t have firearms but then there are a few gun-based plug-ins I’ve seen while trying to figure this out. I have a domain and everything I think, We host through Vortex, I don’t need to sell anything, I just want to be able to publish posts multiple times a day to send out to the subscribers when our draws go live.

To avoid confusion, it’s essential to distinguish between the free, open-source WordPress software that powers your website, WordPress.org where you can obtain the software for free, and WordPress.com, a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and whom you’re contacting now.

    On WordPress.com, you can blog about the topic of firearms, however, you would not be able to sell or facilitate the sale of firearms/certain accessories through the blog. This would include linking to products on your main site in a way that could be seen as facilitating the sale.

    I just want to be able to publish posts multiple times a day to send out to the subscribers when our draws go live.

    I’m not familiar with what “draws” indicates in this context, but if it involves linking to new products for sale off site, that would not be allowed.
