Firefox 5 compatibility with custom fonts?
-
I upgraded to FF5 (Mac OSX 10.6.7) yesterday and also updated my FF extensions. Cleared my browser cache, quit FF, and restarted computer – FFstarted up fine and I could use it without problem accessing other sites. Then, I logged into my WP.com blog – no problem. I decided to check out the new custom design option (I already had a paid css upgrade which I understand was automatically transferred to the custom design upgrade) and selected custom fonts. In the preview window, the font changes showed up fine. After that, though, I have experienced extremely slow loading of my blog, none of the custom fonts appear, numerous errors reported in my error console relating to: skimlinks from the wordpressl.js, and errors reporting several images are corrupted (yet those same images eventually load fine. Any ideas?

I was able to view your blog correctly using Firefox on a Mac. To rule out the option of a local browser issue, can you try this with a different browser, such as Chrome or Safari?
You can download Chrome here – it’s free and safe, and you can just remove it if you don’t like it:

I checked my blog out with Safari and experienced the exact same problem.
A few more details:
1. When I go to the Custom Fonts pane and revise the fonts, I get an error dialog stating that the preview pane had a problem parsing the window.
2. In my error console, I also get notices that each of the following servers do not support RFC 5746.
icondoit.wordpress.com
pixel.quantserve.com
stats.wordpress.com
secure.gravatar.com
If you go to see: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Security:Renegotiation it explains what the problem is and how to fix it. But it needs to be fixed on the servers end.3. Thanks, we’ll look into that.
Just to be 100% sure that it’s not browser related, do you have the same problems in Chrome?
