Firefox Chrome blocking Dailymotion videos in Reader

I published a post yesterday evening, containing an embedded video which I uploaded on Dailymotion. And while the video itself shows up on my blog, it doesn’t show up in the WordPress Reader, i.e. instead of the video it displays an empty space above the post title, which looks quite awkward. Clicking on the post doesn’t help, still no video.

I did clear the cache and cookies, updated Firefox (30.0) and Flash (14.0.0.125), but still no-go. I additionally downloaded the latest version of Chrome (35.0.1916.153 m), same problem. It does work in Internet Explorer though.

But when I’ve tried it again in Firefox I noticed a shield-like icon next to the address bar. Upon clicking on it Firefox told me that it had blocked contend that isn’t secure (same in Chrome). After disabling the protection the video finally showed up in the Reader.

Now I could live with that and wouldn’t mind disabling the protection every time I publish a post that contains a Dailymotion video. I’m just thinking about people who might have similar problems and are unaware of what might cause it (I asked another user to check if he can see the video, and he was able to watch it in the Reader, using Chrome and Firefox). Like I said before, it does look awkward when there’s an empty placeholder above the title and the video not even showing up in the post itself.

Again, the video does show up on my blog and the problem only occurs to me when I check my post using the internal WordPress Reader.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yep, that’s the post. But I’ve expected that, must be something wrong on my end then. Well, as long as everyone else can see the video in the Reader I’m fine with that. Still strange that it only seems to occur to me.

Thanks for your time, much appreciated.
