First Blog. Email message- New Ping. Do I approve of my own blog?

    Just saved my first blog message. Got an email saying, New Ping waiting approval? What does it mean? Do I have to press the approval button in the email for my own message? Completely baffled. No understanding of tech talk. Just like writing and creative words. Can anyone assist here?

    Do I have to press the approval button in the email for my own message?

    It by “my own message” you refer to a pingback, the answer is no, it is unnecessary to approve it. No action is necessary. You may either approve it and leave it as an extra link, leave it pending and unapproved, or delete it.
