First content block: remove links to child
-
The Maisha demo page:
https://www.anarieldesign.com/themedemos/maisha/The Maisha demo page has linking disabled for the child pages in the first content block. How do I mimic this? I can’t find any info in the setup or documentation pages.
I tried disabling linking in the css with pointer-events: none;, but the WP editor doesn’t accept this.
Thank you

Hey dekkosecure,
You’re not hosted on WordPress.com. Your website is using the self-hosted WordPress version.
Please ask your question in WordPress.org forums. https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

@dekkosecure, I see you are on the WordPress.com Business plan. The version of Maisha available direct from https://www.anarieldesign.com/ is different from the one here at WordPress.com, and disabling the click on the child pages may well be something that is in the original theme. For sites hosted here at WordPress.com, this would be the demo site for Maisha.

We are indeed hosted on wordpress.com!
My real question is in regards to disabling links using CSS – is this possible on WP?

We can certainly do a pointer-events: none; but the issue is that although it may not look like it is clickable in some browers (Safari and Chrome) it actually will be clickable. That is due to the browser and there isn’t really anything we can do to change that unfortunately.
I wish I had a magic solution for you on that, but I do not.
Since you are on the Business Plan, you do have the option of uploading third-party theme and plugins, so you may want to contact the theme designer and see what sort of accommodation they would be willing to make in your situation. Perhaps they will give you a good discount on buying the theme directly from them, but I would make sure and verify that if you do that you can disable the links to child pages from within their theme settings.
