First Earnings – Sept 2016 -Are these correct?!

  • Unknown's avatar

The first earnings from my blog – brightonbulletin.com, have been published today.

    450,000 impressions = $44

Surely this is incorrect? From what I have read previously it has been commonly quoted as 0.01c per impression but this is 0.0001c per impression!

I know earnings were decreasing but surely not by 100%

Has anyone else had similar issues?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is either a big mistake or they are just trying to rip us all off. I also got 2,5$ for 13k Impressions.

It seems a ridicously low amount for over half a million visitors. I’m hoping the decimal point is in the wrong place

If you had that much impressions I would expect a minimum of 450$ but something is very wrong with WordAds and I already gave up on everything. You literally work your ass off and at the end of the month, they just knock you in the face with this joke. Now one of them will reply here with a generic message saying “This is correct, users bid in REAL TIME blah blah”. Same every time….

Yea no reply on here so contacted via live chat. Apparently all is correct. Standard automated reply as you predicted.

Over half a million views for $40 is just not worth the effort. Someone is making money here and it definately isn’t me.

Looks like I will have to go it alone.

This is a big fat joke bro… Lesson learned, time to move on to adsense or something similar.

    Hi BrightonBulletin,

What countries does your traffic mainly come from?

    Most traffic from the UK

  • Hi folks, we’ve double checked the payments for these sites, and they are correct.

One impression means one view to the area of your site that can show ads. It does not necessarily mean an advertiser decided to place an ad on an article.

    – Is your content offensive?
    – Is it just copied and pasted from other sites?
    – Are most of your viewers using ad blockers?
    – Are advertisers marketing to the regions your traffic comes from?

All of these factors determine how cost effective it is for an advertiser to buy ad views on your site, so in turn, it affects how much you get paid.

    I hope that helps.
