First image icon's link won't work
-
I’ve just made a workaround for a nav menu, comprising nine image icons with links behind each to pages.
The first icon’s image will not open: it simply opens the same ‘front’ page of the blogsite.
I know the link is correct: I see it turn up in the left bottom taskbar as it tries to resolve.
There’s an issue I don’t understand, here: and my very real problem is that the first page that should open is the entire reason for my having a blog. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello margaretrosestringer,
I was checking your first icon’s image and when I clicked it, it works just fine. I assume it’s the link that says My book: “And then like my dreams. Please let me know if the problem persists.

The problem persists on my own computer (thanks for your message, btw) – when I click on the book image another window opens and gives me – the original window !

It seems you started another thread on this here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/rich-i-really-need-some-intelligent-input-please?replies=1

Titi, as my frantic question here resulted in just one response, which indicates that the problem is somewhere within my own system, the problem must be complex.
Rich is my always reliable helper. I am DESPERATE to solve this problem, as you can imagine (the missing link, so to speak, is the most important of all); and if he can suggest a ‘specialist’ I shall be relieved beyond measure.
Do you want me to shut this one down ? -
