First Image in Post -> Automatic Featured Image
-
Hi!
Is there a way to have the first picture/image in my post be the featured image?
I keep running into the issue of having to manually select a featured image on the sidebar of the “edit post” page, and then the featured image I select appears at the top of my post, larger than all the other images….just all around not the way I like it!
I’m using the Hive theme, and it’s description (https://wordpress.com/themes/hive/) suggests that the first image in a post will automatically be selected as the featured image. Is there an extra step to set this up? Any info/help would be so appreciated! Thanks!

Hey there!
Hive is designed for your Featured Image to appear as the largest image at the top of the post.
If you’d prefer to look into a different layout, I suggest going straight to the “horse’s mouth,” and asking the theme developer. Because Hive is a Premium theme, you have direct access via this link:
https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/hiveThey should be able to best help with any inquiries about their Theme!
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!
