First line of my blog and then “Continue Reading”?
-
Sometimes, when I make a post, the first line or two posts, and then “continue reading”… why can’t I get the whole post to show? I tried looking for the “more” in html but did not see any “more”… don’t think that’s the problem. How do I change this? Prevent this from happening with my next post?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

mmloretta,
Blix is a theme which will display excepts on the front page.
I see these posts have the ‘continue reading…’ :”Cost Cutting Thursday!” and “Insider to Insider: Kelly Simants ~ Sweet Pea Events” “Insider to Insider: Kelly Simants ~ Sweet Pea Events” “Shhhh… secrets of selling…” “What’s your marketing plan?” and others.
When you wrote these posts, did you fill in the “excerpt” module? Go to edit them, and if you did fill in a custom excerpt section you can delete text from there so your whole post will be visible. -

I don’t see any “more” tags or “continue reading” on the posts in the blog linked to your name. Do you have another blog? -
Oooo… I think you are right… I think I do have excerpts in those… I will delete! Thank you!!!!!

I see that worked for you.
Note that some people use that feature to display a lot of posts on the first page to catch readers’ attention. You can make your own summary of each article and even include a picture. But it can be a mystery if you didn’t intend to use excerpts. -
In that theme, the excerpts also work when readers click on categories (or monthly archives). They can see a succinct summary of lots of posts
