If you go to Appearance > Customize then you can select “Front” from the menu on the right. From there you can chose which page is your “Front Page”, so the landing page for your visitors, and which page your posts go on. You can leave the last one blank if you don’t want a posts page.
Hope this helps!

Having a quick look at the theme description, it may actually be the case that you can’t. I’m no expert, this is simply something I found a few months ago! :)
If you have other pages available, but you can’t select them as a landing page from that list then it’s probable that you can’t do it with that theme. That being said, someone else may have a solution that I’m not aware of!

No. This has nothing to do with themes.
You cannot set your site to open on a page that doesn’t exist. First, you must create a static Page. Then you can select it so it’s the opening Page. Then you follow these instructions: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/posts-on-pages/

Ah, I was assuming Askasia had created a page already, but if not then that would explain it!
