First Post No Show
-
I made my first post today but when I go to my page, the blog does not appear, the excerpt is the only thing on the page.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have only one post titled “Does a Hand Gun Protect You?” and that post shows in its entirety on the main page.
Are you talking about the “About Author” blurb at the top of the right hand sidebar? If so, there are several themes, including the one you are using that has a default “author” display at the top of the sidebar and an excerpt of that information is pulled from your “about” page. That about display is part of the “sample” widgets set that is displayed before you actually add widgets to your sidebar. Once you add widgets under appearance > widgets, all of the sample widgets will disappear from the sidebar but you can add in widgets as you wish and then arrange them as you like.

Just in case you do not completely understand the differences between pages and posts I’ll include this link to a support document on the subject: http://support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ .

I still don’t get this: when I click on visit site from my dash board, the blog is not there?
-
I see it just fine and it is as thesacredpath described. What exactly are you seeing? If it’s the same thing you saw earlier, have you cleared your cache since then?
-
Also, when I paste http://hyontorque.wordpress.com/2009/03/23/does-a-hand-gun-protect-you/ into my browser; I get the same page with no blog on it??

This, http://hyontorque.wordpress.com/2009/03/23/does-a-hand-gun-protect-you/ , is NOT your blog. It is a single post page.
This is your blog: http://hyontorque.wordpress.com/ . If in the dashboard you click on your blog name at the top left of the dashboard, that is the page you will see.
Go to settings > reading and under “Front page displays” make sure that “Your latest posts” is selected. Make sure and click “save changes” after you make any change.
