  Welcome to wordpress BTW. :)
  This will introduce you to some basic wordpress resources.
  And this will help with the set up and configuring of widgets.
  This will help you understand blogrolls, links and categories and their relationships.
  This blog review checklist make also be useful.

  {just a suggestion} Maybe this thread should be moved to the support forum. I’m thinking that it has a title that actually reflects the contents and may serve as a good retrieval string once it goes into the forum search box. Granted that the tags may need some “doctoring”.

  Hmm, I had forgotten how much I liked that piece. Maybe some day I’ll finish it. Gotta at least do a My Writings page some time soon.

  Maybe make those links smaller instead of the entire url link. You can post a single word in between >< so the entire link doesn’t run off the entire page.

  If you use pictures, thumbnails are best especially for people that have dial-up. And if you post the entire picture without it being thumbnail, anything over 400 – 500 pixels wide might drop your sidebar to the bottom of the page.

  You could also email other similiar blogs asking for a link exchange, if they do that. This way you can get a boost in traffic.
