fitting wp page on my screen

  my 2.7 update gives me a page for “Add New Post” that is too wide to fit on my monitor screen. The current screen reolution is 1152 X 864. I need to use the horizontal slider at the bottom to access the last 35% or so of the page. What do I adjust and where?
