Fix a wordpress.com signup problem
-
I have more than one wordpress.com subdomain, and it used to be easy to secure that. My friend wanted a wordpress.com blog: portialynn.wordpress.com. I said that was easy, try to go to that site and you will be told it does not exist, so go ahead and help yourself. She did that, but the new signup process keep asking questions without just going to the familiar wordpress back room. One question what kind of blog do you want. I said pick anything that is free just to get past this. Somehow, the site gave her some stupid blog called portia.food.blog. That is not what we wanted. In the meantime, portialynn.wordpress.com is ‘reserved’ but not available. Of course it is reserved, Portia reserved it.
How do we ditch portia.food.blog and get on with setting up portialynn.wordpress.com. We don’t want both. And we don’t want ‘paid.’ Very frustrating for a process that used to be very easy. Many thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

portialynn.wordpress.comwas reserved 4 years ago as is not available. The signup flow will only offer what’s available and will make recommendations based on how the questions are answered.

staff-blorbo, many thanks for the speedy reply. I was under the impression that the subdomain, portialynn, did not exist. I will recommend to Portia that she pick another subdomain to wordpress.com. Is there a way I can show her that portialynn. was reserved 4 years ago, or is that info available only to staff? Thanks again.
