Fix Facebook links when debugging doesn't work

    Hello I am having trouble with my WordPress site connecting to Facebook : when I try to post from my wordpress site to Facebook it shows up with no image and also clients on Facebook are seeing a security error when they try to click on my link from Facebook to my wordpress site . I have called my host and they see no issues , I also called the security company and no issues there. I tried debugging Facebook page to clear and that is not solving any issue , can u help me ?

    Hey @nikkitest387!

    In the past, I’ve seen this issue come up if the images are smaller than 480×480 pixels, or if the aspect ratio is greater than 1:3 (meaning the width is more than three times the height). You’ll also want to just double-check that the image you want to see on Facebook is your Featured Image.

    Hello,
    So size is correct and it’s set at featured image . I have tried debugging and clearing cache .
    The main messages popping up in Facebook debugger are :
    A) can’t validate SSL certificate – yet I have called My host and the security company they use and they are not seeing any security issue
    b) fb app id should be specified , which it is everywhere on my wordpress site it was needed ?

    Some people are saying I may need to buy extra security intermediate ssl but should I trust paying more when my company not seeing any issues ?

    I have def . Ran out of ideas
    Very stuck please help :)

    The issue error message is:
    From Facebook debugger : can’t validate certificate

    From some people’s computers and phones the error reads : “security error , problems with certificate ”

    I get that this might be 2 diff issues
    A) an issue with the thumbnail image
    B) a security issue
    But they seem somehow connected ???

    It looks like you’re using a WordPress.ORG self-hosted site. It may seem a little confusing, but WordPress.COM and .ORG are two separate platforms.
