Fix for the Windows Live writer theme download

  Windows live writer (WLW) has an annoying problem with WordPress – it fails to download a theme from a blog.
  Finally after many years I found a workaround.
  Apparently the problem exists only for the sites where the default page is set to static.
  Change it temporarily to “Posts” page” (WordPress admin page – Settings – Reading – Front page displays – “your latest posts”)
  In WLW top right corner, expand the blog name – “Edit blog settings” – Editing – Refresh Theme (Watch the theme to refresh – it should do it now).
  In WordPress – Switch back the front page to static.
