Fix Jetpack connection
-
When I try to access a number of features under “my site”, I get a blank white screen and the following message:
“Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection”
and links to wp-adminI wanted to change my DNS settings, but this error is preventing me from doing so. I have tried to uninstall Jetpack but there seems to be no way through the plugins section or through the Jetpack section. What did I do wrong?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Also when I click “Help” – > “Contact Us” it doesn’t load. Just grey boxes that say “Loading contact form”

Hi there,
I don’t see any problems with your site’s Jetpack connection. And the fact that the contact page isn’t loading for you, points to this being an issue with your browser.
Please clear your browser cache, and disable any browser add-ons you have installed and see if that helps.
If that makes no difference, also try logging in using a completely different browser, or using an incognito/private window. Let us know the result.

Thanks kokkieh for your response. Clearing the cache and disabling all my Chrome extensions did not fix the problem, but using an incognito window did work and I was able to adjust my DNS settings. However I would still like to figure out why this is happening!

Typically if you can perform a task via incognito that you cannot accomplish in a normal window, the issue is related to one of these 3 things:
– an issue with cookies stored on your browser
– an issue with cache stored on your browser
– a conflict created by an extension you have addedAn incognito window skips all three of these, which is why it works there. I see you have cleared your cache. You did that by following the steps here, yes? https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050
If not please try again using those exact steps. If that does not work the next thing I would try is to deactivate all your extensions by visiting your extensions manager.
If you do that, are you able to perform tasks in a standard browser window instead of only Incognito? If so then you can turn on your extensions one at a time until it stops working again, and you will know the conflict is with the last extension you turned back on.

I cleared my cookies- seems like I had an older version of Jetpack somehow but it wouldn’t update through the plugins menu. Working fine now. Thanks for your help! Many cookies for you.
