Hi
I want to remove the footer text from my website.

and i want the logo in the header to be much larger and overlap the slider

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @willrathgeber, at WordPress.com, since this is a multi-user platform where we all share the same underlying theme files, we don’t actually edit the theme CSS file. What we do is to create new CSS rules to overwrite the existing CSS.

On the footer issue, if you wish to add a copyright or something to the existing footer, that can be done. Add the following CSS and you can edit the content for your copyright, or whatever text you wish to add in the content declaration. I’ve included a number of other styling declarations just in case you wish to style your footer text to make it stand out more.
```
.fine-print:before {
    color: #CC0000;
    content: "This is my Copyright. All Rights Reserved.";
    font-size: 120%;
    font-weight: bold;
}
.fine-print {
    width: 40%;
}
```
To reposition your logo over the slider, change your existing custom CSS for the logo image to the following and you can adjust the top value as desired for alignment. If you wish to shift it left or right, you can add a left or right declaration.
```
.custom-logo {
    background: url("http://jonidennis.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/image0023.jpg") no-repeat scroll 0 0 / contain rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
    height: 200px;
    width: 700px;
    position: absolute;
    z-index: 1000;
