Fix Stats page, add quiz

1. A few weeks ago, I had an article published on another site along with a link to my blog. For two days I had 200 people visiting my blog just to read my ‘about’ page. That’s not going to be happening again any time soon, but my daily states are all messed up. Is there anyway to fix it so that the first tick mark isn’t 110 people?
2. I’ve seen someone else on wordpress.com do this, but I’m not sure how to do it. They created a link on their page that looked like a square on their upper banner that linked to a polldaddy quiz. I’ve created two quizes that are quite long and everytime I try to create just a regular link, it posts the entire quiz and tacks it to the top of my site so that people have to scroll past them all. Is there anyway that I can create a tab or a button or even just a link to clear up all that mess?
