Fix your post listing format, please

WordPress, WHY do you keep messing with things that aren’t broken? All of a sudden my Post listing looks like something out of 2002–it’s harder to navigate, I have to toggle between the bottom and top of my list every time I go in, and it gives me a lot of options I don’t need, like bulk editing. I’m sorry, but this was a stupid change.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Same here. It seems that the former “default view”, i.e. the simplified post list which worked well for me 99% of the time, has been replaced with an improved (but still more complex) classic design as the only choice.
And yes, I also wonder why things are getting “fixed” that aren’t broken?

I really hate this change they’ve made. The new design lacks basic things like a button to share posts/pages.
The simplified view was easier to use. In the rare event we needed to use the admin mode it could easily be toggled. This change has completely removed that option.

Not only this, but I don’t know if anyone else noticed…. when you try to edit a page, it is no longer showing just the editor. It is showing your full site, as if you are looking at FSE, but the only part you can edit is the portion of the page where your content is that you would normally edit in the editor. It doesn’t make any sense why it is doing that. It’s not doing it when you edit posts, and I hope they don’t carry it over to that. Also stats aren’t working worth a damn either. Before I recently switched to the Business plan, I could see how many times my pdf files were getting downloaded. Now I can’t. – wwebb.co

Wow, WordPress is really striking out here. Sorry, everyone. If I may another log to this fire, I’ve noticed when you try to schedule posts the Editor doesn’t show a calendar anymore. The calendar was essential for scheduling because you could tell at a glance where you already had posts scheduled, and now we’re just supposed to guess? Really, WordPress? You might want to send a Happiness Engineer or whatever you’re calling your Customer Service people nowadays to this board posthaste.

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences with the recent changes on WordPress. I completely understand your frustration, especially when transitions might feel unnecessary.
Regarding your concerns:
1. Post Listing Changes: I appreciate your candid feedback about the new design. You can find more details about the recent interface updates in our blog post https://wordpress.com/blog/2025/01/22/interface-update/
2. Editing Pages: I’ve looked into your issue about editing pages showing the full site instead of just the editor. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce that behavior on my end. If you could provide further details, it would be incredibly helpful in investigating this issue.
3. Scheduling Posts: As for the calendar not displaying while scheduling posts, the calendar should still be available. If you are having trouble finding it, refreshing the page or clearing your browser’s cache may help. Please see a screenshot with the Scheduling Calendar:

I’d love to hear more about how you’re using WordPress. This insight could help us offer solutions that enhance your experience further!
Thank you again for your patience, and I look forward to assisting you further!

Sorry to hijack this thread, but do you think someone from WordPress could look at the issue about my missing subscribers, please. I’ve put a few different post threads about this but no one from wordpress is getting back to me. I’m starting to get a bit irritated by this now. Many thanks.
