Fixed banner cookies is fixed at the bottom of the page and does not scroll.

On my blog the banner cookie is fixed at the bottom of the page and does not scroll. When you go to any page or blog item, the banner can not be seen. Only those who scroll the page until the end see it. Thus it is completely useless.

  • Hi there,

It looks like the problem here is your site’s theme. The Twenty-Ten theme on your site is retired and is no longer being maintained. This means it will not be fully compatible with new features like the cookie banner added to sites.

I’ve reported the issue to our team, but it is unlikely that this will be fixed given this theme’s age.

The Twenty-Sixteen theme is very similar in appearance to the one you currently have active on your site, and it does display the banner correctly at the bottom of the screen, over your content, rather than in the footer of the site itself. My recommendation is that you switch to that theme, or to another newer theme that is fully compatible with the widget.

My problem is solved. Cookie banner O.K. Thanks WordPress.

  • We were able to fix the issue causing this a few hours ago, yes. Thank you for letting us know it’s working on your end now.

That said, I would still recommend you start thinking about switching to a newer theme. As your current theme has been retired it’s likely more features on it will start breaking over time, so please do consider it :)
