Fixed image or parallax

Is it possible to have a fixed media image or parallax effect on an image in Maisha? If so, could you help me with the CSS?

Not specifically, no.
Themes here can only be modified via CSS, and that’s not something that can be accomplished with CSS alone.

When I switched themes to Maisha from Twenty-nineteen, some of the images that were fixed/parallax maintained that feature in the new theme – Maisha. However, it seems that I cannot change those images and keep that feature. Is there a CSS code that would make it possible for me to add/keep that feature for images or header and/or feature images?

Can you share an example of what exactly are you trying to achieve? As staff-blorbo mentioned this doesn’t seem like something that CSS could solve, but I feel like maybe we’re misunderstanding something.

Thank you for the response. I guess I’m not sure how to take a still shot that will show you the parallax effect since that is a “moving” feature that you see when you scroll down a page. But an example on my site would be the image below the title “CONTACT US” on the contact page (the photo of Christmas cards, not the header image). https://lifetk.org/contact-us/ It has the parallax effect. Since I switched themes from Twenty-Nineteen to Maisha, and I created that page with Twenty-Nineteen… which had the parallax feature capability… I assume that somehow that feature was retained on that image (and a few others) when I changed to Maisha. So, somehow, Maisha is able to handle a parallax image. However, I cannot replace that image and retain the parallax feature. If I try to edit the image or change it, the parallax option disappears. Perhaps it isn’t possible to add images with the parallax option on Maisha. I just thought it might be possible since somehow that feature still functions on images that were pre-existing in a previous template.

Ah, the key is that’s a Cover Block with a the Fixed Background setting: https://d.pr/i/o8qKVR
Try creating a new Cover Block with that enabled: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/cover-block/
