Fixing administrator mixup
-
I inherited my blog from someone else. I log in with her old username and my own email address, but her email still shows up on the list of users as Administrator, and I don’t show up as a user at all. How can I change that? I’ve tried to invite myself to be a user, but get an error message that my email already is a user.

I am seeing two different email addresses involved with the account right now. One is the owner and the other is the administrator of the site. You don’t need to post your email address here, but if you can tell me the first part of your email and the first part of the old owner’s email (up until the @) it will help me be sure who’s who.
It looks like you may need to get in touch with the previous owner and have her log in to change the account email address from here:
https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=grofiles-user-settingsYou can try this, and if you run into any issue, please check out this help documentation:

Hey there, this is Kristen the old administrator. Steph I just tried to invite you as an administrator so I’m hoping that will fix the issue. If it all works please feel free to delete me.
I just tried to change the email address in the dashboard setting
https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=grofiles-user-settings but it said the user email already exists when I try to put in your email address. Can I delete that profile and create a new one because I dont want to be linked to the Highhand blog anymore.
Thanks for your help.

Kristen and Steph, the best way to handle this, since you are both here :) would be to transfer the account from one user to another.
You can transfer a blog from one user to another user by following these steps:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-accountIf you have a WordPress.com account, Steph, then Kristen can transfer the account to your username.
If you have trouble let me know and we can help you out on our end.
