fixing email address

  how do I fix my email address? It says it already exists and won’t update it when I try to under settings

  Hi there,

  If the email address is already used to create a WordPress.com account you can’t create a new account with the same email address.
  If you wish to use the same email address, you can find your account by just resetting your password from the login page, make sure you type the email address which shows already exists or try to login if you remember the password.

  Hi simplemodestlife,

  As @vishalmukadam mentioned, it sounds like the email address is already in use on another account. In which case, you will need to login with that email address and change the email address on the existing account. This should free it up for use on the simplemodestlife account you are contacting us from.
