Fixing “<move…!>” errors??

  • Unknown's avatar

    Okay, blog shamans, here is my link to my blog: http://susanmcelroy.wordpress.com.

    I inserted the “move” link after I posted, then edited, a new post. It pushed all my sidebar stuff to the bottom of the page. I have followed the instructions on support about moving the html <move> command outside the other commands,and am getting nowhere.

    I remain in awe of all of you… ^.^

    Blog shamans… {snicker}

    OK, first thing is go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and click “save changes.”

    Next, open each post with a more tag and delete the more tag, then put your cursor at the end of the paragraph above where you want the more tag and hit return so that you start a new paragraph, and then insert the more tag on that line. Right now the more tags are on the line right below the paragraph (using a break tag) and that causes beginning and ending tags to be separated.

    By the way, the change I suggested under settings > writing will – or should – keep things like this from happening in the future, and also keep other things that might trip you up from occurring as well.

    Oh wise one! I tried this an it actually worked!!

    I will worship you forever….(bowing hands, repeated over and over….)

    Well I’m not much of one on being worshipped, but I’ll take it as a thank you and return a “you’re very welcome.”
