F**K WIX. I'm ready for a new start with WORDPRESS!
-
Hi,
I have been using wix for a while and I think I’ve had enough of their garbage features and support. I just signed up with WordPress and I need help transferring everything over, including the domain name (nebulacreatives.com) and mailbox ( (email visible only to moderators and staff) ). Wix is not helpful at all and they don’t seem to give a short about this problem. Can someone help me walk through the transferring process? I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

For a WordPress.com website your best bet is to find a theme that looks as much like your Wix site as possible and rebuild your website from scratch.
If that wont work, it gets a little more complicated. Wix doesn’t generate an export file, and you need one to import your blog to WordPress.com. So, you’ll first need to import your Wix RSS feed to another platform that can import a feed, and then generate an XML export file from THAT platform which you can import here. See here for more info: https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/
Here are a couple of resources that I hope help:

Hi there,
@wynternet has given a pretty thorough explanation of what you’ll need to do to get your content here.
It’s not much better when it comes to the domain. As far as I know, Wix also doesn’t allow you to change the name servers for a domain, so you’ll need to transfer your domain away from them to use it with another hosting provider. But we are at present still unable to accept incoming domain transfers, so you’ll also need to transfer your domain to a provider like NameCheap or Tucows and then map it to us from there.
Once you have the domain mapping upgrade connected on our side, you can then add the DNS records needed for your domain to work here. Add them before you even transfer the domain away from Wix or point the domain to us, that way you’ll minimize the downtime for your email.
Let us know if you have any more questions about this.
