I have briefly skimmed posts and came across the fact that flash is not authorized on WordPress.com for security reasons. Has anyone considered reconsidering that notion? Perhaps if there was some way to figure out how to monitor it. I only ask because I think that it would be great to be able to add flash widgets to spice up the blogs a bit. Just a suggestion.

Yes indeed Staff did consider this and they are frequently asked to reconsider it. Normally those who ask aren’t aware of the differences between closed blogging systems like Blogger (blogspot) and multiuser blogging platforms like wordpress.COM. By hiring a web host like one of these recommended ones http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and downloading free software from wordpress.ORG for your own domain you can have embeds, flash, javascript and not risk compromising any site but your own. On the other hand, millions blog on this one multiuser blogging platform, so any risk to security is a primary concern.

I see. Ya I’m not too familiar with computer jargon or the way it all works. I have basic knowledge but that’s it. So I guess that does make sense if it’s all connected to one platform.
You know, I find computers fascinating. I’m think I might try to go to school to learn more about them. I really love flash, my “official” website is at a total flash site called wix.com, don’t know if you know it, but I’d be very interested in knowing how to manipulate coed, be it flash, HTML, or CSS.
If I had the money and the knowledge of coding to host my own site wt WP.org, I would do it in a heartbeat.

thats great. Yes I’ve seen several of your posts,
I do have to say that I have a hard time understanding the lingo at points just because I only know basics. I’m more of a visual aid learner versus text and study. (maybe ADD haha)anywho, I will have to start at the beginning. That… is always a good place to start :)
