  As a user of wordpress I would like to know if I can embed flash on my splash page kind of to mimic a carousel. The theme I have now does not have a widget for that and the Premium themes available do not fit the style of the site.

  Hi. If you can find some place to host your .swf Flash file, then you could use a Gigya shortcode to embed it on your blog.
