Flash plugins in CSS allowed in wordpress with domain mapping??
-
hi everybody,
I am a new blogger and already have my blog running; which is self-hosted, designed and maintained by myself only.
you can chek it out here, http://www.nancypatel.com/blog
I have some idea of mapping wordpress address into my nancypate.com/blog address. But, how my all posts will splitted into categories and all of my links will get imported properly??And the most important thing which is bugging me is that I want all my flash plugins [header, menus, small movies] as it is.
Are these plugins allowed in wordpress as my CSS??
As I am a flash designer I want them as it is.Please help me out :(
Thanks in advance. -
If your blog is here at wordpress.COM – domain mapped or not – you will not be able to embed flash directly in your blog. There are quite a few “short codes” provided for some of the more popular video sites, and Vodpod has a button that you install into your browser that allows you to use far more flash.
Look through the FAQ’s for “video”: http://faq.wordpress.com/?s=video

Each of the upgrades applies only to one specific thing. If it doesn’t say right in the FAQ “this upgrade allows you to run ads and embed live cows directly into your blog” it doesn’t allow it.

@thesacredpath -Thanks for the reply
@raincoaster -Thanks for the replyHave you checked my page?? Is it any other way to embed my flash headers and other stuff?

There is absolutely no way to use Flash headers at WordPress.com. None. It’s a security issue and they are not about to reconsider it.

Ok.. that means I wont be able to run my blog powered through wordpress anymore..
thx anyways -
You can continue to self-host with the WordPress.ORG software, that is about the only way you will be able to have flash headers and such.
