Flash update breaks flash uploader – Mac Firefox
-
Ok. I took the plunge and downloaded Flash 9 (134MB = 24hrs on my dialup, there is resume support). Following the links provided above for the uninstaller and the archived Flash versions, and following the instructions to the letter, Flash 9 brings back multi image upload capability. In Firefox 3 anyway. And I won’t be upgrading to flash 10 anytime soon, or 11. :)
This is what I did in case it helps anyone. I downloaded the uninstaller and after closing EVERY unnecessary program I ran it, uninstall successful. Then I rebooted the system, because I was told to. With all unnecessary programs closed I then downloaded version 9 of Flash from the link above and as it was downloading shut down EVERYTHING but the download. The download is a zip file containing a number of folders containing all releases of version 9 so I opened the latest one, folder 9r151. I installed this one, flashplayer9r151_win.exe (there are two other win….exe files in this folder – and other files). And it works, so far.

OMG!! Yes!! I’m using the latest versions of Seamonkey (Mozilla) and Flock, both with Flash 10. And now the WP flash uploader works again! Thanks!!
