Flatsome theme resizing images automatically
-
I’m using the Flatsome theme and it’s resizing images automatically. I have uploaded an 1800px wide marquee image, and it’s resizing it to 1400px. I am not seeing a way around this. Has anyone dealt with or solved this issue before?

Hi there!
I see that this topic has been marked as resolved since you wrote in. Did you manage to figure this out?
Just in case: You’re right that images will resize some images in order to fit in with their design. Depending on the setup, you may be able to override this using some custom code.
We don’t currently have a theme named Flatsome available in the WordPress.com repository. I did, however, find a theme with that name on ThemeForest:

The above theme is only available to sites that are hosted elsewhere and running on the free software available at WordPress.org.
The difference between the two types of WordPress (WordPress.com and WordPress.org) is a common and understandable point of confusion. If you’re unsure of the differences, then this guide gives a good overview.
As your site is hosted elsewhere, support staff here at WordPress.com aren’t in the best position to help out. Instead, I recommend contacting the theme’s author directly here:

Hope that helps to point you in the right direction!
