Flickr – link to photostream – how to
-
Is there a way when uploading a picture to link it to my flickr photostream instead of to a file or to WordPress? I have used the blog this on flickr but it doesn’t seem to work if you would like to inlude more than 1 pic in a post.

maybe what you could do is post a picture from your photostream, and then use that picture as a link to your photostream. like this:
<A HREF="URL HERE"><img src="name"></a> -
Thanks for the advice. I tried this but I wind up with a small gif box on the page. I am trying to do this with basic WordPress.

sorry the html i gave you is incorrect. try this:
<a href="URL ADDRESS"><img src="IMAGE URL" alt="NAME OF IMAGE" /></a> -
Thanks! When I put that in, it still didn’t work and when I go back to try and edit it, WordPress has already truncated it to this:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/southerngirlmusings/"><img src="http://www.flickr.com/photos/southerngirlmusings/688837644/"></a>It deletes the alt=”name of image” />

that’s because you’re putting the wrong link in the image link html. this is the correct html:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/southerngirlmusings/"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1212/688837644_d100ed70d1_o.jpg" alt="image"></a>to get the image url, right click the picture and select ‘view image’ (if you’re using firefox).
