Flickr Mosaic

I cannot quite figure out a way to do what I want to do with my Flickr photos. Ultimately, what I want is a mosaic of my Flickr photos, with each photo linked back to the original on Flickr. I know how to insert individual Flickr photos using the URL and I know how to create a photo mosaic in WordPress using the Add Media button with images that I’ve uploaded that way, but when I make the mosaic the images just link to themselves essentially. I want a mosaic with each linked to the original Flickr image. Is this possible? If it helps, I have premium. I want a mosaic with each linked to the original Flickr image. Is this possible?
The Mosaic option would normally link to the “carousel” that lets viewers look at each image in a larger size. You could include the link in the caption, though, if you’d like. You would use a caption something like this:
<a href="http://wordpress.com">Image via WordPress.com</a>Clicking that would still open the larger version, but they could then click a the link to follow it.

Regardless, to the best of my knowledge in order to create the Gallery feature in a WordPress.com post or page, you have to upload those images here. You can’t create a Gallery by linking the images from somewhere else. (The same goes for featured images in a post.)
You could potentially use an online or offline image editing tool to create a single, small mosaic image, upload that to WordPress.com and then link that back image back to your flickr album.

Right, you would need to upload the images here. I understand you want to upload here but link back to the originals at Flickr.

@supernovia – I kinda got the feeling that the intention was to create a mosaic and have each image link back directly to flickr, like you can with single flickr images inserted by URL or with oembed.

I understand, and as you pointed out, that isn’t possible. But the method I recommended would be the next best thing.
