Flickr Slideshow Not Working
-
Trying to post a new blog entry – have been using gigya for my flickr slideshows for a couple years now. For this entry I can’t get it to work. I am doing everything exactly the same as usual and can’t get it to work. I checked the flickr settings to ensure that it’s public and all the settings are correct there. Tried to redo the code from scratch. Still not working.
This is pretty upsetting as I wanted to launch this article yesterday as it’s time sensitive to an event. So, wtf??
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yeah. This doesn’t really help me because I was using it just fine (I use the gigya coding to do the flickr slideshow in about 1/4 of all my updates.)
This post was from May – August 2014 – and I was able to use the gigya code absolutely fine as of mid October 2014, which was the last time I posted an article using the code.
And then I noticed that I was having issues as of a few days ago with it not showing in the “Preview” mode. I thought maybe it was just a quirk and it would show up once I launched the entry. When I did, it didn’t show so I had to go through the monotonous task of going through all my social media and deleting the post and turning it back to a draft.
I’ve already gone through the forums and scoured through a resolution without result. I wanted to launch it on Monday. I’ve been pulling out my hair for three days.

Thanks galois.
You’ve answered my question.
My workaround is to transfer my blog out of wordpress because it’s incompatible with what I do. Currently in the process of moving my URL to my main server.
That settles it. WordPress just lost a customer.

Staff warned us several months ago that the Gigya workaround was not long for this world.

@bikeleptic: what is the URL? (on Flickr)

I had been using it just fine until last month. And now I have absolutely no way to share my event photos unless I want to pay yet another fee on top of another one to another company for the privilege of bad media organization and shitty slide shows.
No thank you.
I rarely come onto the forum. I use the app most of the time to update. I don’t know when I would have been notified.

@bikeleptic: try this
[gigya src="http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649" width="480" flashvars="offsite=true&lang=en-us&page_show_url=/photos/halleyseve/sets/72157649017938869/show/&page_show_back_url=/photos/halleyseve/sets/72157649017938869/&set_id=72157649017938869&jump_to=" allowFullScreen="true" ]Note the http on “http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=71649”
And obviously, width=”480″ is just one example. ;) -
nothing.
thanks for trying. ive been mashing through that script for a couple days now with no luck.
