Flickr Slideshow/Gallery in WordPress.com
-
Hey,
This has been asked numerous times before on the forum, but none of it has been able to solve my problem. I’m looking to get a slideshow of some work I have from my flickr to my WordPress. I’ve tried numerous websites like “Slide”, “Cooliris”, and others provided from http://shongjog.wordpress.com/2010/08/23/how-to-insert-a-flickr-slideshow-in-a-wordpress-com-blog/10/.
On that post, he also states that you need to embed Flash into your wordpress.com blog, which confuses me a bit.
If anyone has advice or tips they can give me, that would be awesome.
IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

You can insert flickr slideshows, but you have to use the gigya shortcode as Panos explains here:

See also his post on flickr slideshows using the gigya shortcode.

And, as far as I know, since the slideshows are flash-based, you can also use the VodPod button to insert them in your posts/pages.

Wow, that Gigya option worked like a charm, I guess I just wasn’t doing the right thing. I apologize for the inconvenience!
Thank You both for the help! :)
