I think I’ve seen those at Myspace. But if it didn’t go through, maybe there’s some form of javascript in it.

It’s done via an iframe. That’s probably what the issue is. Iframe tags are not allowed due to security concerns.
-
I was able to do it using the following code:
< iframe width=500 scrolling=no height=500 frameborder=0 align=middle src=http://www.flickr.com/slideShow/index.gne?user_id=yourflickruserid&tags=tags>
< /iframe> -

it seems to be only flickr (i tried with a bleep.com iframe, no go), and it seems to only work in posts, not pages.

I was so intrigued with the idea of getting a slide show on our blog, that I tried inserting the above code. I ran into the following problems, and wonder if someone could clarify them, please:
1) is the user ID a numeric ID, or can it be alphabetic? For example, “ingridandneil” or “123456789”. How/where do we find our Flickr user ID?
2) where do we find the tags? Again, are they an alphabetic tag (eg. “wedding”) or numeric?
I attempted to extrapolate this info by viewing the source code of the page, but all to no avail (partly because a lot of it is beyond me). I hope you’ll be able to guide me in my quest for adding a cool slide show like the ones on thomasps’ blog.
Cheers!

I think I celebrated victory too soon. I’ve been trying for HOURS to do the code as above, but it keeps “disappearing” when I try to post it. I’ve tried with and without ” “, I’ve trolled around online trying to find answers, and the few people who are doing it on wordpress claim to be using this coding. Is this require a plug-in, in which case isn’t that only possible on WordPress.org? Am I missing something? Here’s what I’ve been writing:
<iframe width=”500″ scrolling=”no” height=”500″ frameborder=”0″ align=”middle” src=”http://www.flickr.com/slideShow/index.gne?user_id=12345678@N00&set_id=12345678912345678″></iframe>
Hope you’ll be able to help. I’d love to get this little slide show up.
Cheers!

Then how come there are a few people who have been able to add it to their blog? If it’s happened, then it must be possible, yes?

That’s why I’m bugging staff for a reply on the subject and it’s bugging me that I can’t get one. :(
