Flickr widget

Maybe the Flickr widget should have the possibility to randomize the foto shown, making the picture displayed different. I would like that very much. Could it be possible?
-
That would be an issue on Flickr’s end. All the widget does is use what Flickr gives us.
-
The widget always shows the last photo from a several of photos that are in the RSS feed, it could do something like count the number of fotos and randomly pick one from the whole feed, not always the last one.

The Flickr basge as generated on the flickr site does all this and more.
Personally I think it would be nice if we could use the Flickr Flash Badge instead of the HTML code Badge we are stuck with.
It would also be really really super duper nice if we could get the ability to choose the photoset/tag it drew photos from the way the code generated on the flickr site does.
See: http://www.flickr.com/badge_new.gne
Oops my bad, I searched and searched and thought I found a link that would take you to the Flickr basge without being logged in to Flickr, but now luck so that above link will only work if you have a Flickr Account.I recognize this is probably one of those “shared template and widgets” issues… but I can hope…

Unfortuntly, the Javascript required to display the badge is barred due to security concerns.

Dr. Mike – Might there be a way to get a “little” of the flexibilty offered by the flickr badge available in the widget? Maybe by having a choice of a couple different flickr widgets? Or entering a data field into the widget that enabled one to choose the photoset the widget grabbed photos from?
I understand the restriction on being able to directly past the Flickr badge code into our blogs. Is this really a feature request I should be making elsewhere?
Thanks!

+1, a random selection (like the badge offers) would be great, either in the Widget or some other way..

Do you know about flickrriver? I am using this in my sidebars instead of the flickr widget, as you can even adjust the colour background to what you like.
http://www.flickriver.com/ to see what it looks like and then create your badge here
http://www.flickriver.com/badge/createAll you have to do is copy/paste the result into a text widget and add it to your sidebar or elsewhere.
http://claudesdailysnap.wordpress.com vertical badge on a black background, for example.

It only shows 6 pictures horizontally at a time…do they show random pics or the same 6 every time?
-
Click ‘more options’ to get … more options. You can display up to 35 small thumbnails and choose whether you want random pics or your latest pics, or someone else’s pics
-
i probably will seem like a super novice here, but how do you get the pictures from your flickr account to show up under the widget on your page? i have these generic ones showing up.
