Floating Menu in the New Block Editor

    When typing in the new post editor, a floating menu that starts with a paragraph icon appears above the text box. That menu sometimes blocks (argh!) the text box above the last one. Because I often want to compare lines while typing, this menu is getting in my way of writing.

    How do I keep the floating menu from appearing or fixed out of the way?

    Hi there,

    In the editor, click the … icon top-right. Click on the Top Toolbar option.

    That will fix the block toolbar to the top, instead of it appearing directly above the currently-active block.
