Folder icon/subjects visibility in The Editor theme

  Is there a way to keep open in the left hand column the contents of the subjects folder at the top of The Editor theme? I would like to keep the contents, especially the tag cloud, permanently visible to followers.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
