  People have advised me they have been unable to follow my blog http://www.blackrockwire.com via email. They have indicated that they did not receive a confirmation email when they entered their email. How do I fix this issue?

  Can you give me the email addresses of some of the people who were unable to follow your blog? I can then investigate the issue for you.

  I looked up the first email address, (email visible only to moderators and staff), in our system, and I can see the pending subscription to your blog. That means we sent a confirmation email, but it may have ended up in that person’s email spam/junk folder.

  I checked the second email address, (email visible only to moderators and staff), and I don’t see any pending subscriptions at all. That means their initial request to subscribe to your blog didn’t work.

  Can you please ask both of them to try subscribing to your blog via email again? That will resend the confirmation email, and if needed I can check our system again to make sure those emails went out.

  I asked them to sign up again for a subscription. I received a notification in my email for each that they are now following my blog. They said they received the confirmation email in the update category in the email tabs, not in the inbox. Originally they advised me that they had checked for the confirmation email in the spam and inbox and it was not there. They may not have checked the update tab. However, I did not originally received an email that they were following my blog on their first attempt to follow. The blog new post notification went to the social tab in the email today. So I am not sure what happened.

  You’ll only receive an email about them following your blog once the subscription is confirmed — the fact that you received those emails means that their subscriptions are now confirmed and active. :)
