Follow Blog process

  As a new blogger, I added the Follow Blog via email widget and it’s working fine. My problem is that I’m losing followers because they do not realize they have to hit “CONFIRM” when they receive the confirmation email. Is there a way they can be automatically subscribed as a follower without confirming in the body of the confirmation email?

  I have been inviting users directly from the blog, and that’s easier, but I know I’m losing readers whose emails I do not have. Appreciate any help you can provide.

  No there isn’t.

  That’s what I thought. WordPress should modify the process. Other programs such as Salesforce.com allows the new follower to be automatically subscribed once they hit follow. Thanks for your reply.

  There are too many false subscribes that way; also, some countries like Canada require a Confirm link.
