Follow blog via email problems

  Someone brought it to my attention that when they try to enter their email address on my blog to follow me, they get an error message saying the email address is not valid. I had the same thing happen when I tried to enter a different email than the one I have registered. Then it takes me to a screen that lets me again put in my email address, and it accepts it, but says I have no blogs I’m following. I fear I lost many people who may have wanted to follow my blog with an email I sent out and now they weren’t able to get it to work. Is it something I did wrong or is there a bug in the system?
