Follow blog via email widget

  I have added two widgets on my blog – one is a button for wordpress followers, the other to follow via email. WordPress followers says I have 10 followers, and the follow via email says 492. But when I look at my stats it shows one email address?

  How can this be wrong, or does wordpress just make up the number?

  You’ll find your email followers at (classic) Site Stats > My Followers > Email Only Followers. I didn’t find the list at the “new improved” stats page.
