Follow Blog Widget

    Hi

    So I’ve been trying to find a way to allow people to follow my blog as subscribers. Currently I have a ‘Blog Subscriptions (Jetpack)’ Widget that (I think) allows people to get updates when I post new pages, but I’m not sure of that, and for some reason I haven’t been receiving any emails when I get new subscribers.

    Also, on the WordPress Dashboard if I go to Users no one is registered, despite a few people registering and being shown through the Jetpack site. I’d like to actually have people subscribed to my blog, so I’m not sure where the disconnect is.

    I’ve been trying to use Follow Blog Widget, but it doesn’t appear on my list of options when I try to add it to my Footer as a Widget. The https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/ site hasn’t been that helpful because it assumes that it’s going to be there, so I’m a little stuck.

    So I’m not 100% sure what to do here, or what it is exactly I’ve got currently. Are people subscribed to my blog or are they registered to my WordPress Account or my Jetpack account? How do I get the Follow Blog Widget? Is it a new plugin I need?

    Apologies for my ignorance, I’m relatively new and trying to learn.
